Somewhere in England

Postby DeRick » Sun Jan 13, 2008 3:09 pm

I just ordered "Somewhere in England" from Amazon. I had an old cassette of it, long ago. I think this album is underrated. I realize the newly remastered version has the "original" cover, but i still miss the old wall with George on the lower righthand side. I always thought that was the better cover than the black one. Which cover do yall think is the best?

I always preferred the original LP cover with the pavement shot! I don't know why they changed it for the CD.
Man I could smell your breath a mile away.

I only own the LP (with George standing in front of the artwork). My 2 year old daughter loves to dance to it! Great stuff (as always).

Anyway, from what I read the "NEW" CD cover is what the old LP cover should have been if the record company didn't hassle George so much.

My first Somewhere in England cd has the original LP cover. Yes, it's much nicer than the new Dark Horse release.

Somewhere In England is a really enjoyable album for me. Of course, George was plagued by the fact he could never top himself by starting his post-Beatles career off with All Things Must Pass. The outtake "Flying Hour" that his record label made him drop from the album I should say, should have made it on.

I like the lp wall cover better than the cd cover.I found this album interesting because the three remaining beatles got together to sing all those years ago.
