I just ordered "Somewhere in England" from Amazon. I had an old cassette of it, long ago. I think this album is underrated. I realize the newly remastered version has the "original" cover, but i still miss the old wall with George on the lower righthand side. I always thought that was the better cover than the black one. Which cover do yall think is the best?
I only own the LP (with George standing in front of the artwork). My 2 year old daughter loves to dance to it! Great stuff (as always).
Anyway, from what I read the "NEW" CD cover is what the old LP cover should have been if the record company didn't hassle George so much. see more at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Somewhere_In_England
Somewhere In England is a really enjoyable album for me. Of course, George was plagued by the fact he could never top himself by starting his post-Beatles career off with All Things Must Pass. The outtake "Flying Hour" that his record label made him drop from the album I should say, should have made it on.
I like the lp wall cover better than the cd cover.I found this album interesting because the three remaining beatles got together to sing all those years ago.
