Will there ever be a "Harrison Years" DVD set

Postby DeRick » Thu Dec 20, 2007 9:40 pm

I just got the "McCartney Years" DVD set. Aside from the fact that not ALL his videos are on there, its perty awsome.
now im wondering is there a collection of George's vidoes? I remember when he passed i recorded alot of his videos from VH1 including "Crackerbox Palace", "This Song", "Faster", When We Was Fab" and "Got My Mind Set On You" on videotape which i dont have no more. Id love to have all thoses on DVD (even if it is in widescreen, that dont bother me). Im sure there some vids from the early 70's "pre-Dark Horse" era.

There is a DVD of George Harrison called 'The Dark Horse Years'. This contains videoclips of George from 1976 to 1992. It also contains some live material of his concert in Japan in 1991 and some songs he had written for the film Shanghai Surprise (with Madonna).
This is the tracklist:

1. Dark Horse Feature
2. This Song
3. Crackerbox Palace
4. Faster
5. Got My Mind Set On You - Version I
6. Got My Mind Set On You - Version II
7. When We Was Fab
8. This Is Love

From Live In Japan
9. Taxman
10. Cloud 9
11. Devil's Radio
12. Cheer Down

From Shanghai Surprise
13. Shanghai Surprise
14. Someplace Else
15. Hottest Gong In Town

The Dark Horse Years is also available as a box set with includes a DVD, and 6 albums on CD:
- Thirty, Three And A Third
- George Harrison
- Somewhere In England
- Gone Troppo
- Cloud Nine
- Live In Japan

I don't know if the video's from the early 70's (before Dark Horse) were released.

What I'm hoping for is a "George Harrison Anthology" set. I know there's a good number of unfinished songs lying around in addition to outtakes and alternate takes. I have the Dark Horse Years box set, and its pretty nice. That being said, an "Apple Years" box set is definately needed.

There's enough video's for perhaps one DVD and loads of footage from the Japan tour from '92 so why not!
Man I could smell your breath a mile away.
