ANSWER: Hey guys, during 1976, George was suffering from Hepatitis, which really ground him, so much so that he wasn't able to complete his first Dark Horse Records production and had legal hassles with them.

If it was at all possible, I'm sure he would have been there, as RINGO was!

Never knew about the hepatitis thing PW, that must have been a rough time.

In the 2nd half of '75 thorugh 2nd half of '76 George had hepatitis and got divorced from Patti, to cite two major blows to him.

Looks like Saturday was a big day for Levon in Woodstock:

I'm surprised Robbie didn't try to upstage him by having a day declared in his name.
And in the end...

Good for Levon! My mom said she saw him on Imus recently. My 83 year old mom is a big Band fan, and she thinks Levon is the cat's pajamas!

It would be really cool to go to one of those sessions at Levon's place. Some of the guests are off the hook - Donald Fagen, Elvis Costello, etc.
And in the end...

Fagen's "Morph's the Cat" is good, although a bit derivative for my taste.

As for those sessions, let them live on (pun intended) 8)
