But compared to Paul's solo output, John's were inferior in terms of production and recording. I don't know. Maybe it has something to do with patience. I know for one that John can't withstand long hours of recording and production. He's the type who insists of mastering a song only after few takes and rehearsals. I even remember Paul mentioning in an interview that most of John's songs suffered because of his lack of patience in improving it. It was him who complained first about the long recording hours spent in Sgt. Peppers, right?

Imagine - the highlight of John's career, I reckon!

Standout tracks are the title track (of course), Jealous Guy, and How. Of course, everything on here is better than average . . .

I'll get back to you on that when I've had a chance to absorb each Beatles album separately. Note, I am referring to the Imagine album as a whole, not the individual song. My fave Lennon solo song is probably Mind Games - just!

Lennon was a commie. Made some (and I stress "some") good music after the Beatles but Paul was by far the more prolific songwriter.

John made it to the Top 10 Greatest Britons. That's good I think for somebody that was branded as a "commie".
