I guess "shaved fish", trimmed steak (out with the fat!), creme de la creme and others mean " the best of". [:)]

Not a hairy situation there [:D], no splitting hairs either.

His first "greatest hits" collection. It was nice to get "Karma", "Power" and "Cold Turkey" on an album, but it was short on "hits", for sure. Compare it to Pual's first collection..Wings Greatest"...no comparison, really.

Of course is "Wings Greatest" better than this, and I also think that John has realeased too many "Best of album", Paul has only three.

For some reason, each time they put out a "best of John Lennon" compilation, they tend to weaken it by putting 'rare demos' or non-hit material on it, like someone's subjective viewpoint of a good album track. I think Shaved Fish is the most consistent of his best-of's, though "The John Lennon Collection" is probably the most definitive, since it includes songs from Double Fantasy.
I needed comfort of love just to get me some piece of mind.. wo-oh

I agree with that it´s better than his collection, but I think "Lennon legend" is the most ultimative collection with JOhn from his careere, that´s my opinion.
