John picked those because those were the ones out at the time he said it- I meant they are sort of yin and yang- for the most part, Paul writes "happy" stuff and John "serious" stuff. Although both could do each. I go to Paul's albums when i'm in a good mood and tend to go to John's when I'm in a sad mood. It doesn't mean that one was better than the other.

I really like this album. I can't understand why Yoko left What You Got off the 4 cd set Lennon in 1990, a killer Lennon tune and my appreciation has grown since I heard the Acoustic version.

I'm waiting for the remaster of this. Is it being held up because Yoko wants to replace May Pang's background vocals? I hope it's not because of that.

If I could choose only one album out of John's solo catalog, WALLS AND BRIDGES would be definitely the one I'd choose.

YEAH , I wonder when W & B will "go remaster", perhaps with bonus tracks
:D , a booklet with all lyrics and informative, nicely prepared texts on the album background and the recordings themselves....all the works !!!!
