Starting Over - great. One of the most Paul-like songs John did.
Cleanup Time - OK, nothing special in the lyrics.
I'm Losing You - a little bit too dark for me. I kinda like it, but I'm not sure.
Beautiful Boy - lovely. "I can hardly wait to see you come of age" - I want to cry when I hear that line.
Watching The Wheels - defines John better than anything else. Best song on the album.
Woman - beautiful.
Dear Yoko - don't like the subject, but it's irresistibly catchy.

As for Yoko's stuff, I can't stand it. "Yes I'm Your Angel" just sounds like she's being a vain/arrogant BITCH. And most of the others lose something in the translation.

Huh? Sorry, Liam. I don't see it all all. I see it as more of a "Don't WOrry Baby" type of clone in the middle. But not macca.
Great song, though.

Well, it's one of John's songs that I think Paul could do without batting an eyelid. That and "Love". Just picture Paul singint JLSO, and you'll see what I mean. I hope . . .

Nah, I don't see Paul singing Starting Over. That was more like John's nod to his Rn'R heroes in the 50's.

Well, a bit of that, too. But I've always seen this as relatively Paulish for John.

John even said it himself. He said he wanted to write a 50's style song, and "Elvis-up" the vocals or whatever he said.

Yeah, I've got that - it's on the interview with J & Y on the end of M & H - 22 minutes of them talking about stuff, the interviewer was edited out, and it's rather interesting, what he said. A 50s tip of the hat, yes. But I do see Paul doing this one. And yes, I'll keep taking the medication . . .

Woman is the most Beatlely song on the album for me. I could imagine Paul contributing some killer background vocals on that one, as well as a juicy bass line. But JLSO? Exact opposite.

I agree, Steve. First time to hear someone suggesting Paul joining John in singing WOMAN. Very interesting.

I think that the one and only Yoko's merit is the fact she was the inspiration to John making beautiful love songs. "Love", "Jealous Guy", "Oh, My Love", "Aisumasen", "One Day(At a Time)", "Woman" are inspired romantic songs(despite that "muse" was Yoko, but John loved her so, what can we do??)

Peace.
