Acoustic: John's new album

anybody have "Acoustic"? John's new album? I heard a couple tracks on "Beatle Brunch" yesterday on the radio and they sounded pretty good

Well, just having a flash along the titles, many of the songs were acoustic already, but it would be interesting to hear for sure. The description on Amazon for Cold Turkey was interesting...apparently it's harsher than the original.

I got it but don't really like it that much-

I haven't got it yet, but the snippets I have heard on Macca Radio sounded good to me - and normally I'm not an unconditional fanatic of acoustic renderings, but I might get this album after all.

I've got it and it's actually very good.

I like Cold Turkey, What You Got and Dear Yoko. I thought Dear Yoko was the weakest John tune on DF but after hearing the acoustic version I have a much greater appreciation for it. Dare I say, it is one of the highlights. Some of the songs were already on Anthology so I would say it's more for the Lennon completists and as a companion piece to Anthology.

The one song I was really disappointed at was "Woman Is the Nigger of the World". Apart from the words, one of its strong points for me have always been the powerful arrangements, and these are of course totally lost in the acoustic version. I wonder if John himself would have released this version...

I'm not a fan of acoustic stuff. I'd take electric versions over acoustic ones nine out of ten times. But anyway I've read that only a few tunes were unreleased up to now (all of those are demo versions or outtakes).
