Most of the song is about Linda...as he often does, he has to make words/lines fit, so part of the song is fictional, of course. They are just words that sound pleasant.

Moral of the story is...with ANY song, Beatles or otherwise...take it with a grain of salt...where they came from...whom they are intended for....words are just words...they paint pictures...throw in a semblance of fact and truth...throw in some fancy pretty words, throw in ambiguity (even to yourself as a songwriter), throw in some utter lies...heck..just throw in any old word pattern just to make the line rhyme..the final concoction makes for a great song!

Well put KS!!! Too much is made out of lyrics etc....especially Beatle-related songs. Very few are autobiographical or about each other. The few that are have been well documented.
