John Lennon's Back to the World concert.

Let's Imagine for a second, that Lennon was still alive, and was going to do a world tour like Macca did. What do you think his playlist would be? Would he even play a Beatles song?

2. Woman
3. Yoko would shreek for 2 hrs.
4.Imagine.

Yoko aside, he would have an awesome set list.

For me the early Beatles stuff that Paul doesn't play would get me going.

That's just for starters

Then you can pick or choose some of his psychedelic songs and then his rock songs from the late 60's then solo songs like

then take your pick from his ballads. As a fan though the early Beatles stuff to me would be priceless.

A playlist of mine to John would go like this:

Part 1 - early Beatle stuff

I want to hold your hand, help, I feel fine, rain, ticket to ride, A day in the life

Part 2 - early Lennon solo

Cold turkey, Hold on, I found out, Isolation, Imagine, Give me some truth

Part 3 - Late Beatle stuff

Yer Blues, Sexy Sadie, Come together, Because, Polythene Pam/Mr Mustard, I want you (she's so heavy)

Part 4 and last one - Late Lennon

Mind Games, Meat City, Whatever gets you thru the night, Going down on Love,

Encore

Woman, Starting Over.

Of course during the concert John should MIX parts 1 and 2 and afterwards MIX parts 3 and 4, w/ the same encore. Wonderful that would be !!!!

Your lists generally look fine to me. However, there has been one important omission: "JEALOUS GUY". Plus I think "Twist and Shout" would be the ideal opener (or else "Rock'n'Roll Music", but I prefer "Twist and Shout"). Also among the cover versions, he would have to include "Stand By Me".

The man would probably need various teleprompters though to remember the words to his songs?? Or else he would have to change them in the act like he did when he started, which I suppose would be quite a laugh...

Now that I see your lists, it makes me think that that Lennon guy could write a pretty good song eh?[;)] Not sure if he could start with Twist and Shout though...that song is a real throat shredder.[B)]

I think Lennon would probably NOT have played a number of the ones I listed. I'm sure he'd prolly play Woman Is The Nigger Of The World and some of the edgier tunes because he's Lennon. Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind hearing that one either. I just posted my preferences, and some of my list changed as soon as I posted it!

But yeah, Twist And Shout would be great as an opener, but realistically it would have to be a closer--he'd have no voice left after that one!
