Maybe, but we were talking about sausages, man! We were talking about sausages, and you explained to me an English dish that was kind of like a pot pie. It was like a pie with sausages in the middle. Now I'm hungry. LOL

Oh, hang on - possibly toad-in-the-hole - sausages in batter. That is the closest equivalent to a "sausage pie". Have I mentioned that before?

I don't think you've ever mentioned "toad-in-the-hole" (which is highly inapropriate on this family forum, SIR!), but that could have been what you were talking about.
