Of course - I was merely trying to be humorous!

I got the new CD from Paul Simon a ways back..."you're the one," it's called... It's typical Paul Simon stuff... eastern influences with a little of his pop hooks... I thought Driving Rain took a while to grow on me... Man, this took forever!

I really have to be in the mood... A lot of African drums and eastern instruments. A lot of it is really, really mellow. It's not the Paul Simon from the 70's, that's for darn sure. I give it a 6/10 just because it's Paul Simon and I took a chance on buying the album.

Graceland is the definitive solo work for Paul Simon, but I would go with one of the compelation CD's that he has... Love songs and something-or-other... Forgot the name...Just a toe in the water before you dive in.

Well, it's gonna be a little while. I've finally started collecting all the Elton John stuff - I got a compilation back in february, and loved it, so I've got his first, eponymous, album, and his last one (SFTWC).

I finally watched some of the Grammy tape. S & G started well, but it looked like Paul was changing the vocal arrangement as he got deeper into the song, perhaps since AG was singing so damn well. He's always been jealous of Art's high notes. They didn't look too simpatico to me.
